What's New in February

Heart Month and Strauss Heart Drops

February is a time to think about one's heart, and we're not just talking about Valentine's Day. The Canadian government has recognized February as "Heart Month" in an effort to bring awareness to the dangers of cardiovascular disease, which affects 2.4 million Canadians and is the country's second leading cause of death.

In honour of Heart Month, our product of the month is Strauss Heart Drops. This time-tested formula of natural ingredients including garlic, cayenne, hawthorn and motherwort works to improve cardiovascular health by removing plaque and calcium build-up from arterial walls. To learn more about this product, visit their website or come into the clinic and speak to the front desk to place your order today!

For more information on what you can do to reduce your risk of heart disease, please see the Minister's Message from the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Japa Meditation and Mala Making Workshop

A mala is a string of 108 beads with one bead as the summit, or head bead, called a sumeru. Malas are used as a tool to help the mind focus on meditation or to count mantras. In this workshop you will not only create your very own mala, you will also learn about japa meditation and how it can positively affect your health.

All materials will be provided. We will be using lava beads that can be infused with essential oils of your choice.

Class will be taught by Dr. Tatyana Lachowich at the Merivale Chiropractic & Massage Clinic on Saturday, March 10 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM. Space is limited to 10 seats. Sign up today or call (613) 226-8142 for more information!
